BLOOD DRIVE UPDATE
Thank you to all who helped prepare the church basement and all who came to donate blood. We obtained 30 units of blood to help save lives!
MORNING BREAK
Ladies, this Bible study is for you! Join us on Wednesdays at 9:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall (church basement) beginning on September 2nd. Pastor Dandy teaches the class. You will not be asked to read aloud but questions are welcome! Contact the church office if you have questions.
WEDNESDAY SCHOOL
Wednesday School also resumes this Wednesday, at 6:00 PM. This week, all students should report to Pastor Reed’s office (2nd floor of the Heritage Building). Wednesday School is for all 5th-8th grade students who do not attend Trinity’s school. Pastor Dandy teaches the 7th/8th grade class, and Pastor Reed the 5th/6th grade class. It’s not too late to have your child attend!
BIRTHDAY CARD SHOWER
Cheril Hefner is celebrating her 90th birthday on September 4th. We would like to encourage you to help her celebrate with a card shower. Address cards to: Cheril Hefner, Senior Village, 1419 N 6th St, Room 204, Atchison, KS 66002.
CHANGES FOR HIGH SCHOOL BIBLE STUDY
We will be changing the time for the High School Bible Study starting in September. The next gathering will be on Sunday, Sept. 6 from 12-1:30 PM at Adam & Rachel Goodpasture’s home. Pizza and dessert will be served.
Next week’s High School Bible Study will focus on another misquoted verse from the Bible: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. While this verse is definitely in the Bible, it is often used as a self-motivating statement versus a comfort that in Jesus and His Work, we are safe, secure, and completely cared for. Students will learn that in their Baptism they are covered with Jesus and they are never alone in their sufferings or struggles.
ALTAR GUILD
The next Altar Guild meeting will be on Tuesday, September 8th, at 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. The April/October team will serve as hostesses.
MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH
The 2026 Fall Kansas District Confirmation Retreat will be held Oct. 2-3, 2026, at Rock Springs Ranch (Junction City). The theme is “Confession, Absolution, and the Office of the Keys.” 5th-8th graders may attend. The cost is $109. Contact Melissa Blanton if interested.
INTERESTED IN A HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM AT TRINITY?
Trinity is exploring the possibility of hosting an on-site/online
high school program in the future. A letter with a QR code linking to a short survey is available in the narthex. This survey is intended for parents at school, church, and in the community as we examine the feasibility of such a program. Please take a copy, complete the survey, and feel free to share it with families who may have a high school student in the near future.
ATCHISON COMMUNITY CHILDREN’S CHORUS
An informational meeting will be held on Sept. 8 at 6:00p at the United Methodist Church, 501 Kansas Ave. The chorus is open to those in 4th – 8th Grade, and 3rd graders who attended the summer camp.
