OUR FATHER’S BUSINESS: July 12 - 18

PASTOR’S BIBLE CLASS 

In Pastor Dandy’s absence today, those that attended the Higher Things Conference will make a presentation. All are invited. 

DOOR OFFERING 

Today we will have a door offering to support Pastor Jonathan Schultz. Proceeds will go to help pay for expenses while he undergoes chemotherapy for a rare form of cancer. Pastor Schultz served here as a teacher, choir director, and DCE many years ago. Cards can be mailed to Pastor Schultz at:

OFFICE HOURS 

Church Office hours for July 14 will be 10:00 – 2:00. The office will be closed on July 15.  

LUTHERAN WITNESS SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL 

The Lutheran Witness, the official periodical of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, provides you with stories about your fellow Christians, current events, your church, the Synod, and what the Bible has to say about the issues and decisions you face daily.  A subscription is $35.00 a year and runs from November 1, 2026, to October 31, 2027.  There is an ENVELOPE in your packet for this.  Make your check payable to Trinity Lutheran Church. The deadline to subscribe, or renew your subscription, is noon on August 7th. 

KAIR RADIO BROADCASTS 

THANK YOU, to all who have generously sponsored a KAIR broadcast for 2026! We now have all 52 weeks covered. 

HYMNALS FOR HOME 

What a blessing it is to own your own hymnal! Having a hymnal at home offers you access to a multitude of options for home devotions, prayers, as well as the Small Catechism, and the treasure of reading/singing the hymns of our faith.  

In honor of the 20th anniversary of our Lutheran Service Book, Concordia Publishing House (CPH) has a great sale price of $20.00 per book, that’s 37% off.  We will be placing an order later this month. If you would like to have us order one/multiple for you, please place your cash or check made payable to “Trinity Lutheran Church,” in an envelope with your name and the number of hymnals you would like to order. Please add $1.00 per book ordered to help cover the cost of shipping. Orders are due in the office by noon on Friday, July 24. 

JULY FOOD PANTRY NEEDS 

Our pantry is still in dire need of the following items: canned vegetables (only corn, peas, carrots, green beans), canned fruit (only peaches, fruit cocktail, mandarin oranges, applesauce, pineapple), Tuna Helper, Hamburger Helper, canned tuna and chicken breast, syrup, peanut butter, jelly, saltine and snack crackers. 

JULY OCC NEEDS 

Operation Christmas Child is collecting accessories for July: sunglasses, bandanas, jewelry, hair-ties, barrettes, bows, wristwatches, socks, underwear, small bags/backpacks, flashlights, etc. 

THRIVENT ACTION TEAMS 

Thrivent Action Team Cards are available. Action Teams can be used for any type of community service project, fundraiser, or educational event. Contact your Thrivent representative if you need help applying. 

CHANGES FOR THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS 

Thrivent has made changes to their Thrivent Choice program. All members now receive Choice Dollars. All Choice Dollars are now available in full at the beginning of the year and may be directed anytime through December 31, instead of the old deadline of March 31. If you haven’t already allocated your funds, please consider Trinity Lutheran Church or School. Contact your Thrivent representative for assistance.
